Kevin Durant and Steph Curry are back this NBA season, and fans are excited all around. The two former teammates have been out of action due to respective injuries but have now recovered ahead of the start of the new NBA season.
Durant and Curry last played together in the 2019 NBA Finals against the Toronto Raptors. Durant came back from an injury, but then hurt his Achilles during the game. That injury ruled him out for the 2019-20 NBA season. In free agency, Durant left the Golden State Warriors.
Steph Curry started the 2019-20 NBA season healthy. However, he suffered an arm injury during the season that ruled him out for most of the year. By the time he recovered, the Warriors had the worst record in the NBA and nowhere near playoff contention.
Shortly after Curry’s return, the NBA season was suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic. When the NBA season resumed in the bubble, the Warriors did not participate, as they had no mathematical chance to reach the playoffs.
