‘There Are Certain Things I’m Worried About’ – Israel Adesanya Rates His Next Challenge Jan Blachowicz on a Scale of 10
Israel Adesanya taking on Jan Blachowicz will headline the UFC 259 card. The card is perhaps one of the most stacked cards the UFC has ever put on with three title defenses and four belts on the line. ‘The Last Style Bender’ will be aiming to make the most of the opportunity as he aims to join the rarefied club of UFC fighters with two belts to their name.
However, he will be facing a tough challenge in Jan Blachowicz. Israel has stream rolled through everyone put in front of him thus far. In his last title defense, ‘The Last Style Bender’ proved that he is levels above the competition he has at middleweight as he absolutely demolished Paulo Costa inside two rounds. His unblemished record will be tested by ‘Polish Power’ that not many fighters have been able to handle thus far.

Israel Adesanya states he has had tougher tests in his career
In a recent interview, a reporter asked ‘Izzy’ to rate his opponent Jan Blachowicz on a threat meter. The Nigerian-born fighter said, “Nah not higher than, I’ve had harder fights to be honest even in middleweight. So on the threat meter, out of 10, I’ll give him. He’s a solid competitor so maybe like a 7? Yeah, 7.5. Yeah, that’s an honest score I’d give him. There are certain things I’m worried about. But yeah, just another guy man, just another day.”Stylistically the fight between the two men is extremely interesting. Adesanya is extremely sound with his techniques and is probably one of the best if not the best striker in the UFC right now. Jan on the other hand might not be the most technical but has freak power in both hands and he can close the fight in the blink of an eye.
Interestingly, going into the fight, Adesanya is the taller man and will have a two-inch reach advantage despite being a middleweight. It will be interesting to see how Adesanya is able to use his reach advantage and if he is able to face the power punches that Jan will throw his way.
