Much like Prince Harry and Meghan Markle before her, Princess Martha Louise of Norway is the latest royal planning on making the big move from her home country to America.
The royal revealed to Norwegian newspaper VG that, “Right now there is COVID and it is difficult to plan, but we plan to move with time.” As for her three teen daughters with her late ex-husband, she added, “The children will, of course, join me. We will keep the home in Lommedalen anyway. We must have a home in Norway. We’ll still be here a lot. We can not leave beautiful Norway completely.”
The move abroad makes perfect sense considering that Martha Louise has been dating Los Angeles-based spiritual guide and healer to the stars, Shaman Durek, since 2019. Due to the pandemic, the pair have had to spend much of the past year apart, although Durek was able to spend the holidays with her in Norway. Martha Louise said of the distance, “It hurts extremely, a feeling I share with many others in the same situation. But the worst thing is not to know when we see each other next time.”
The couple first went public with their relationship in May 2019 via an Instagram post on the Princess’s account. “When you meet your twin flame, you know,” she wrote. “I have been lucky enough to have met mine. @shamandurek has changed my life, like he does with so many. He has made me realize that unconditional love actually exists here on this planet. He embraces all of me without question or fear. He makes me laugh more than anyone, has the most profound wisdom to share and all the bits in between from the diversity of his being. I feel so happy and blessed that he is my boyfriend. Thank you my love, for including me so generously into your family. I love you from this eternity to the next.”
In November, Martha Louise also told Vanity Fair that being with the shaman has taught her to embrace her own spiritual gifts. “Being at Durek’s house with his family is a bit like going into the world of Harry Potter,” she said. “There’s a wand coming out and they’re doing spells on each other. Everyone is laughing hysterically and it’s so much fun for me, because I’d put a lid on all of the things I thought as a child because everyone had told me it wasn’t possible, and after a while, I believed them. Suddenly, I’m with a man I love and with his family, who know that magic exists.”
