Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank Reportedly Moved Back in With Her Parents Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson
Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank have apparently found a new home where they can start their family after moving out of Frogmore Cottage—the home lent to them by former senior royalsPrince Harry and Meghan Markle—after just six weeks of living there.
In the most recent episode of Finding Freedom author Omid Scobie‘s podcast, “The HeirPod,” he said that the expecting royal couple has recently decided to move back to Royal Lodge, the estate inhabited by her parents Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson where she and her sister Beatrice grew up. Maggie Rulli, an ABC News London correspondent, said on the podcast, “We saw something in the news a few weeks ago about how Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank had moved into Frogmore Cottage. Harry and Meghan had opened the doors to the home to the couple and then mysteriously there was a report that said they had moved out. And no one really knew exactly where they were.” Scobie explained that Eugenie and Jack spent the Christmas holiday at Royal Lodge with her parents, adding, “‘So I imagine that’s probably where they will remain up until much later in the year.”
The pair have also enjoyed a whole lot of quality time with the Duke and Duchess of York over the last year as they also spent the first lockdown at the Lodge. On an episode of Darlton Harris‘s podcast “City Island” last year, Ferguson told the host, “During this lockdown period I’ve really loved spending more time with Eugenie and Jack. My daughter got married to Jack in, oh goodness, was it last October? No, it was October before, heavens! And so, of course, once she’s gone to get married, they live away. So, I haven’t seen her so much and so now it’s been a total joy to spend real quality time with her.” Before the country’s most recent lockdown, the couple had moved into Frogmore Cottage, which was previously inhabited and refurbished by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, before inexplicably moving out just six weeks later.
While Sarah, Beatrice, and Eugenie have been very visible throughout the pandemic, Prince Andrew has maintained a low profile as he continues to be a lightning rod for controversy due to his friendship with Jeffrey Epstein. The royal is reportedly now not considering a royal future until all his legal issues regarding that relationship have been resolved.
The move back home could be part of the Princess and her husband’s plans to give their child, due early next year, as close to a normal life as possible despite their royal status. In September, a family friend told Vanity Fair, “Even if the Queen offered them a title as a gift, it’s not Eugenie or Jack’s desire for their child to have a title. Eugenie knows that a title can be a curse as well as a blessing, and she and Jack want their child to live an ordinary life and eventually work to earn a living. Titles really don’t matter to Jack and Eugenie, they just want a happy, healthy child.”
