Olivia Wilde Wrote a Tribute to Harry Styles Praising His “Humility and Grace” On the Set of Their New Film
Neither Olivia Wilde nor Harry Styles have officially confirmed their rumored relationship just yet, but that didn’t stop the actress-turned-director from penning a lengthy, effusive Instagram post about the pop star and his performance in their new film.
Wilde started posting tributes to the various stars of her movie Don’t Worry Darling on Instagram over the weekend, starting with the film’s lead Florence Pugh followed by Styles. “Little known fact: most male actors don’t want to play supporting roles in female-led films,” she began her post praising the singer alongside a black-and-white photo of Styles leaning on his character’s vintage sports car. “The industry has raised them to believe it lessens their power (i.e financial value) to accept these roles, which is one of the reasons it’s so hard to get financing for movies focusing on female stories. No joke, it is harrrrrd to find actors who recognize why it might be worth it to allow for a woman to hold the spotlight. Enter: @harrystyles, our ‘Jack.’”
She went on to explain, “Not only did he relish the opportunity to allow for the brilliant @florencepugh to hold center stage as our ‘Alice,’ but he infused every scene with a nuanced sense of humanity. He didn’t have to join our circus, but he jumped on board with humility and grace, and blew us away every day with his talent, warmth, and ability to drive backwards,” concluding with the hashtag for the film.
Wilde and Styles first sparked speculation they’re a couple at the beginning of the year when they were photographed arriving hand-in-hand at the Montecito wedding of Styles’s manager, followed by a PDA-heavy stroll around Santa Barbara. Since then, sources have confirmed that, as the costars spent more time together both on and off-set, their friendship “quickly turned romantic” and “their chemistry was very obvious.” But they also reportedly worked hard to keep things “very professional” during filming and created a “loving and warm environment” for both cast and crew. And now that the film has officially wrapped, it seems things might be getting even more serious between the pair. According to paparazzi photos and a source who spoke with Page Six, Wilde was spotted moving a couple of suitcases out of the home she once shared with her ex-fiancé Jason Sudeikis and into Styles’s Hollywood Hills mansion on Valentine’s Day.
