The undisputed queen of Christmas, Mariah Carey, is extending her festive offerings this year with the launch of her own cookie brand, Mariah’s Cookies. A perfect treat whether you’re looking for something to leave under the tree for Santa or something to snack on while watching the singer’s new Apple TV+ Mariah Carey’s Magical Christmas Special.
The singer launched her new online-only dessert company today in 30 major American markets in honor of National Cookie Day. Carey is offering customers an array of holiday-themed flavors, including Pumpkin, Gingerbread, and White Chocolate Cranberry, as well as year-round flavors like Triple Chocolate Chunk, Lemon Cooler, Spiced Oatmeal Raisin, and Heath Bar. Customers who can’t decide what to buy can also get boxes of mixed flavors like “Holiday Hits” and a crowdpleaser called “Try Them All.” After the New Year, Carey also has plans to extend the business beyond these initial seasonal offerings to include more traditional flavors.
The pop star teamed up with Virtual Dining Concepts and restaurateur Robert Earl, the founder of Planet Hollywood, on this new endeavor. Earl explained in a statement, “Mariah and I have chatted over the years about working together on a food business and, with her love of baking, cookies were a natural fit. As Mariah is synonymous with the holidays and celebration, we will make sure that her special holiday flavors are available not only for the holidays but year-round.” In another statement, Carey added her simpler reasoning for getting into the baked good business, saying, “Yay, cookies! We love ‘em….love ‘em during the holidays…..love ‘em all year round!!”
