The former 2-division UFC champion Henry Cejudo announced his retirement from the UFC after defeating Dominick Cruz at UFC 251.
‘The Messenger’ has won almost everywhere he has competed in his career. From being an Olympic gold-medalist to winning championships in different weight classes in the UFC, ‘Triple-C’ has been truly magnificent in his career.
But he is currently enjoying retirement life to its fullest. He has gotten new girlfriends too. After breaking up with the previous girlfriend Amanda Dallago Cheves, Cejudo recently posted a picture with his new girlfriend, Ana Karolina.
It is evident Cejudo has a lot of free time these days since retiring from active competition in 2020. He has been one of the greatest combat athletes to ever grace the UFC Octagon.
Wins against the likes of Demetrious Johnson, T.J. Dillashaw, Dominick Cruz, Marlon Moraes are some of the highlight moments of his illustrious UFC run.
He defeated Johnson in UFC 227 in their rematch to capture the flyweight gold. A knockout win over ‘Magic‘ Marlon Moraes at UFC 238 secured his status as the double champion. And of course, he is an Olympic champion.
‘The Messenger’ spares no opportunity to remind people of his status as the triple champion of the UFC. However, he has been absent for a long time. And now the possibilities of seeing him competing in the near future are even slimmer as he is currently ‘C4’.
Will Henry Cejudo ever return to the Octagon?
Despite all his accolades inside the Octagon, ‘The Messenger‘ is only 34 and doesn’t have too much mileage on him as a fighter. He is one of the elites as a UFC fighter. So fans and fellow fighters will certainly miss him in action.
And with the current resurgence of both the flyweight and the bantamweight division of the UFC, a return of Cejudo will only make things more interesting.
