The battle for the NFC East throne continues to heat up as we approach Week 14 of the season. The Dallas Cowboys are in the mix to make the playoffs after some promising displays in recent weeks. Joe Judge’s New York Giants currently sit at the summit of their division at this stage of the season.
Head coach Mike McCarthy is trying to make the best of this unfortunate mess he finds himself in, especially since the injury to quarterback Dak Prescott. However, Andy Dalton has emerged as a worthy successor. He proved he has the warrior mentality after getting back to full fitness after suffering a concussion against the Washington Football Team.
James Jones is not ready to give up on the Dallas Cowboys
Former Green Bay Packers man James Jones made an appearance on NFL Total Access earlier this week. The Super Bowl winner asked Cowboys fans to stay optimistic as they continue to battle for a playoff spot.
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott was having a fantastic individual season in 2020. But everything…
He said, “Cowboys fans I sit here and tell you man your glass is half full. And the reason why I say that is Andy Dalton is starting to play well he’s has commanded all offence. I mean, the Baltimore Ravens did nothing last night to slow this team down.”
“They had one tip pass on a turnover and that’s it. But other than that the Cowboys every single time they got the football they were moving the ball down the field at wheel. Did they miss some field goal? Did they fall in the red zone a little bit? Yes, but this offence is starting to get going. Andy Dalton has full command of it,” Jones said on the show.
The Cowboys take on Dalton’s former employers, Cincinnati Bengals in Week 14. In the absence of Joe Burrow, the Bengals have failed to win a single game in their last two league outings. Could the Cowboys manage to sneak into the playoffs by winning NFC East? This one will go down to the wire, we reckon.
