Chrissy Teigen confirmed that Meghan Markle is just as caring and compassionate as you think she is.
During an interview on the Watch What Happens Live! after show, the Sports Illustrated model turned cookbook author revealed that the Duchess of Sussex actually reached out to her personally after she lost her son Jack last year. While answering a question from a fan about whether she and the royal have spoken since Meghan moved to California, Teigen said, “Yeah, she’s been so kind to me ever since we connected. She had written me about baby Jack and loss, but yeah, she is really wonderful and so kind—just as kind as everyone says she is.” In October, Teigen and her husband John Legend announced on social media that their son, whom the couple had already named Jack, died shortly after being born. A month after that, Meghan spoke out about her own miscarriage experience in a New York Times op-ed titled “The Losses We Share.”
Teigen continued, “That’s why you look at everything and you’re like ‘My god, what is absolutely wrong with people that they have to make this person out to be so malicious or so crazy?’ when it’s just as simple as them being as kind as everybody says they are. Yeah, she’s a really wonderful girl.” She added that she also reached out to Meghan in turn following her and Prince Harry‘s interview with Oprah last month. “I think when I ended up watching it, it was like ‘Holy shit this is big,” she said. “But also I waited a long time to watch it, so I’d already heard so much about it by the time I got to it. It’s very eye-opening.” The show’s host Andy Cohen asked Teigen if the royal had any “extra tea” to share during their conversation to which the model replied, “No. I think she’s been very honest [and] open. I think her truth has been her truth since the very beginning.”
