Despite a tough start to the game, Aaron Rodgers led the Green Bay Packers to a comfortable 32-18 win over NFC West franchise, Los Angeles Rams. The Packers dominated right from the start at Lambeau Field to seal a spot in their second consecutive NFC Championship Game.
They will be joined by the winner of Sunday’s Divisional Round Playoff between New Orleans Saints and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Rodgers, Tom Brady, and Drew Brees are 3 of the oldest active quarterbacks in the NFL at the moment. Surely NFL fans will be eager to find out who the in-form Rodgers will take on this weekend.
But what does A-Rod have to say on the same?
Aaron Rodgers revels in an epic win after Packers dominate the Rams
Aaron Rodgers was seen sporting an ear to ear smile in yesterday’s post-game presser. The 2-time NFL MVP was asked to comment on a potential face-off against either one of Tom Brady or Drew Brees. Here’s what he said.
“Well Pete, to be honest, I’m still reveling in this win. There’s a lot of time to think about these things. My initial reaction is, those guys are obviously great, great players.
“They’ve been for a long time…but Pete, I’m so happy for our guys, definitely a little emotional. Just thinking about what we’ve been through makes me emotional.
“The crowd out there today (smiles) I’m just feeling really happy about everything that happened today,” Rodgers told reporters.
The Packers will have enough time to prepare for their upcoming NFC Championship game this weekend. The home-field advantage will definitely serve as an added bonus for coach LaFleur and his boys.
One thing’s for sure, whichever team travels to Lambeau Field must come with a plan to stop one man, Aaron Rodgers. If they fail to do that, it’s game over for the visitors.
